If so, the stock header pipe on that model was known to rust out after a few years. You could spend BIG bucks, or not much at all, to set it up for "touring duty". A set of Willie & Max "big" saddlebags, and a decent windshield would only set you back about $300.00, maybe less, so I say go for it.
